Genesis 1 Plunges Bible Readers into TWO Distinct Types of Created Living Beings.

Study Genesis First — 17

It is a funnel starting wide (heaven, earth). Then converging on FAUNA (1st type of beings), finally pinpointing HUMANS (2nd type of beings).

All animals carry the description: “after his/their kind”
Genesis 1:11–25, it is repeated ten times.

25 And God made the beast after his kind, and cattle after their kind, every thing that creeps after his kind.

Then, there’s a radical break in the context.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… (similar to “after their kind”).

The former animalkind is GOOD but the latter Godkind, humankind, it very good.
Meditate on this vital distinction. The rest of the Bible focuses on the story of humankind.
